UWSP Campus Ministry News
UM Campus Ministry at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
The United Methodist and Episcopal churches have come together in support of campus ministry at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP). Our campus ministry is called Crossroads, a name chosen by students to represent the interconnection of faith, community, and social justice.
Crossroads Student Organization at UWSP
Crossroads is a progressive campus ministry whose purpose is to create an open and safe community for all people, regardless of race, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, faith, or beliefs. We love FOOD, CONVERSATION, and CREATING CONNECTIONS! We sponsor an Ecumenical Worship Service and Dinner, open to ALL, each Sunday evening of the Fall and Spring Semesters. Join us at 5:30 pm at the Newman Center, corner of Reserve and Fourth Avenue.
Connect with Crossroads Student Organization on their UW-Stevens Point Involvement Network (SPIN) page for more information on campus ministry activities, events, community outreach, and Spring Break Mission Trip.

Dinner Church Community and Worship
Jesus spent a lot of his time with people around a table, eating, talking and connecting. Some of the stories in the Bible highlight the diversity of people connecting and talking while at table.
Borrowing format and ideas from St. Lydia’s Dinner Church community in Brooklyn, NY and what we know about ancient feast rituals, we’ve created our own type of Table Worship that centers on a meal and people connecting. We sing, discuss, eat, and pray. It’s an opportunity to connect with people in a new way.
We meet at the Newman Center, across the street from the UWSP Health Enhancement Center (HEC), corner of Reserve and Fourth Ave, at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Sunday of the month. The service is about an hour and fifteen minutes (including clean-up and dessert). Vegetarian options available. The table has been set. Come. Eat. Worship.
Sponsored by Crossroads, a UM Campus Ministry–ALL are welcome. For more information about Dinner Church or Campus Ministry, contact Laura Courtright Burns at firstname.lastname@example.org or 715-340-4523.
