A Message from Pastor Howard Hintzman

Our Advent theme this year will be “A Garland of Good News”. Instead of having a Christmas tree up front in Point and the usual hanging of the Advent wreath in Plover, there will be “A Garland of Good News” draped in the front of the sanctuaries. Throughout the season, the garland will be available for attaching prayer concerns or joys which will be brought up when people bring their offerings forward. We will have the usual lighting of Advent Candles which will be led by the choirs in Point, liturgist, and pastors in Plover.

The weekly themes are:
Waking into Advent
Welcomed and Prepared
Stirring the Spirit
The Power of Birth

The Christmas Eve services will be:
4:00 pm – Intergenerational/family worship (Point)
6:00 pm – Traditional worship with the Chancel Choir, carols and candle lighting (Point)
8:00 pm – Traditional service with carols, candle lighting and the Lord’s Supper (Plover)

This year Christmas is on Sunday. After having three services on Christmas Eve we will only have one service on Christmas Day at 10:15 am in Point.
