Children's and Family MinistryExplore the ministry opportunities for your children and family. As Fall weather approaches, we look to offer our Children's Faith Formation activities indoors. Children's Faith Formation for children in 4K through 5th grade will be offered on Sunday mornings following the Young Disciples Time at our 10:30 a.m. worship. Masks are required for teachers and children. If you have any questions about our Children's Faith Formation, contact our Director of Family Ministries at email@example.com

We believe that community worship is vital to our faith so that is where we begin and end our faith formation hour each week. A children’s message is offered at our worship service.
Children are invited to attend Children’s Chapel just following the children’s message for activities that are designed to enhance and further explore the message and lesson. Children’s Chapel is located adjacent to the sanctuary.
Faith Formation is offered at our summer service (Memorial Day Sunday thru Labor Day Sunday) at 9:30 a.m. From September thru May, Faith Formation is offered at the 10:30 a.m. service.
Families may walk their children to the chapel and stay as long as their child needs to settle in. Children return to the sanctuary and worship service following the sermon so they may share in the community worship experience.
For families of babies and toddlers, a nursery is available every Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. service. Rocking chairs are offered as a comfortable place to rock your child while still being able to hear the service. Babies and toddlers are always welcome in worship!
Guests are always welcome:
Families who are looking for a safe, inclusive community to grow spiritually are invited to join us on Sundays. We also offer our Waffle Church at 9:30 a.m. year-round on the first Sunday of each month.
If you would like to visit us during the week, please click here and our Director of Family Ministries, Laura Courtright, will get back to you to make an appointment.
Special Needs: We welcome people of all physical and mental abilities. If your child would benefit from additional accommodations, please contact the Director of Family Ministries to discuss your child’s specific needs.
Safe Sanctuaries: Ensuring the safety of our children is essential to providing a caring and secure environment.
At the UMC our Safe Sanctuaries policy ensures that there will be appropriate adult supervision at all times, with the goal that the UMC will be a “safe haven” where all are protected from every form of child abuse. Click here for our Safe Sanctuaries policy.
PARENT’S VIEWING ROOM
Our Children’s Chapel is visible from the sanctuary through a large window wall. So while you are sitting in the main service, you can always take a quick peek and see what the kids are doing.
